- this was the topic that was presented on April 12, 2023 to the participants of the Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions". The event took place within the framework of the International Project, which is being implemented at the Department of Ecology of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Programme.
During the meeting, issues that aroused interest among a wide audience of studios were highlighted, namely: the evolution of approaches to nature management; the energy efficiency of construction objects; ecological characteristics of building materials and products; product life cycle; building ecology and goals of green construction; peculiarities of the development of construction services in the EU; global green bond market, etc.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that the concept of green construction has been developing quite intensively over the last decade. The construction sector of the economy accounts for 40% of the consumption of primary energy resources in the EU, and according to the calculations of the European Commission, in the case of implementation of cost-effective measures, this figure can be reduced by 30%. The EC and the governments of the EU member states have prioritized the policy of increasing energy and environmental efficiency in the construction sector.
