the next topic of the green marathon from Interdisciplinary Studies, the "European Green Dimensions" Project, which is being implemented at the Ecology Department of Mykolaiv "Mohylyanka", with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program.
On February 1, 2023, the participants of the Studios got acquainted with the issues that cover the goals, tasks, principles, models, action plan of the circular economy in Ukraine and the world. In this context, the starting point for the EU was March 11, 2020, when the European Commission adopted the Circular Economy Action Plan, which is an important component of the European Green Deal strategy.
During the presentation of the topic, the project coordinator Olena Mitryasova focused on the fact that the economies of European countries in the future are oriented towards the transition to a low-carbon development model. In this regard, the directions of development of hydrogen and atomic energy are promising. Currently, the EU finances 60% of hydrogen energy projects.
The goals of the Energy Strategy of Ukraine until 2050 are: achieving the maximum level of climate neutrality; maximum reduction of coal use in the energy sector; renewal and modernization of energy infrastructure; comprehensive integration with EU markets; development of alternative energy sources.
