On March 6, 2024, a meeting of the participants of the Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions" took place. The topic "Energy efficiency. Renewable energy" was presented by Viktor Smyrnov, associate professor of the Department of Ecology.
The meeting discussed the problematic issues of energy efficiency and energy saving in the European Union, Directive 2009/28EU, the energy situation in Ukraine, the target energy efficiency program for 2022-2026, the national energy efficiency action plan for the period until 2030, the concepts of Ukraine's "green" energy transition to 2050, renewable energy sources and initiatives in the field of bioenergy development.
The speaker concluded that the global energy landscape will change rapidly as the world begins to transition to natural energy sources.
