On April 24, 2024, the topic "CHALLENGES FOR UKRAINE IN GREEN POLICY, AND PRACTICE DUE TO ASSOCIATION WITH THE EU" was presented to the participants of the Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions". The event was held as part of an international project implemented at the Department of Ecology of the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program.
The final topic of the "Green Marathon" covered issues that aroused interest among a wide audience: the path to climate neutrality of Ukraine; environmental challenges for Ukraine; "points of growth" of Ukraine in the EEC; basic principles for reliable and successful "green" reconstruction; sectoral challenges and opportunities.
Vadym Chvyr, a lecturer at the Department of Ecology, emphasized that planning the "green" recovery of Ukraine is a multifaceted challenge that requires policy coordination between many domestic and international actors. This requires a well-thought-out comprehensive institutional framework, which Ukraine should develop together with its international partners as soon as possible.
