"Atmospheric Air Protection" was presented by Vadym Chvyr on February 26, 2025 to the participants of the Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions", which are held with the support of the European Union Erasmus+ Jean Monnet_Department Program.
The listeners joined the discussion of the following issues:Environmental problems of atmospheric air in the EU and Ukraine;
Directive 2008/50/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council;
European Air Quality Index;
Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service.
The speaker presented the practical experience and capabilities of the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud platform, which allows scientists, researchers, government agencies and other users to perform analyses based on large volumes of geoinformation without the need to store this data locally.
The main monitoring resources for atmospheric air quality are described - Eco City, SaveEcoBot and Ventusky.
