The Green Marathon of the Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions" continues!
The project is being implemented at the Department of Ecology of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University within the framework of the Project supported by the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program_Department.
On March 26, 2025, the participants of the Studies got acquainted with the new topic "INDUSTRIAL AND HOUSEHOLD WASTE MANAGEMENT", which was presented by Associate Professor of the Department of Ecology Viktor Smyrnov. Among the interested parties were representatives of a wide range of institutions of Ukraine.
During the meeting, issues that aroused interest among the wide audience of the studies were highlighted, in particular:The Law of Ukraine On Waste Management dated 06/20/2022 N 2320-IX;
Main problems in the field of waste management;
The system of control over the field of waste management;
The status of waste accumulation facilities and ownership of them.
The speaker emphasized that Ukraine has an inexhaustible potential for implementing a recycling program at the state level, as the only civilized way of waste management. Construction of waste processing complexes/waste sorting lines: 20 new facilities were created in 2023, and another 18 in 2024. In 2023, 50 centers for used goods and clothing, as well as products requiring repair, such as waste electronic and electrical equipment, were organized.
