The Green Marathon from Interdisciplinary Studies "European Green Dimensions", which takes place within the framework of the International Project with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Program Jean Monnet_Chair, continues. On March 15, 2023, the topic "Energy efficiency. Renewable energy".
Participants of Interdisciplinary Studies joined the discussion of the following issues: energy efficiency and energy saving in the European Union; Directive 2009/28EC; energy situation in Ukraine; target energy efficiency program for 2022-2026; the national energy efficiency action plan for the period up to 2030; concepts of "green" energy transition of Ukraine by 2050; renewable energy sources.
The central thesis of the topic is that the global energy landscape will change rapidly as the world begins to transition to green energy. Moving away from oil and gas can change the configuration of the world as dramatically as it did a century ago. The principled choice of Ukraine necessitates a change in approaches to the formation of energy policy, which must correspond to the principles and practices of the EU.
