Offsite Session of the 3rd Day of the International Environmental School "European Green Dimensions: Challenges for Ukraine"
On June 10, 2023, the field session of the 3rd day of the International Environmental School "European Green Dimensions: Challenges for Ukraine" was held at the NPP "Buzkiy Gard".
The school is implemented with the support of the EU Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Program within the framework of the International Project European Green Dimensions" 101081525 JM EUGD (101081525 — JM EUGD — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH).
The theme of the third day is "Green Dimensions of the National Nature Park "Buzkiy Gard".
acting chief moderator and speaker became Director of the Park Vladyslav Artamonov, who provided the event participants with extensive information on the historical aspects of the establishment and development of the territories, as well as modern environmental challenges facing the Park. Despite the war, the question of raising the water level of the Oleksandriv reservoir to ensure the completion of the TNGPP remains relevant. However, in the area of the Oleksandriv reservoir, there are unique natural complexes that combine a river canyon, granite outcrops, remnants of virgin steppes, and barrack forests. They are characterized by significant biodiversity and a large number of rare endemic species.
